Separate them and the teaching survives, purer. But this is wrong about what the miracle was doing. When Jesus walks on water, the claim is not merely "here is a teacher, here is a credential." The claim is that God is the kind of God who acts in history. That the universe is not closed. That matter is not the final word. Unbundle that and you have not freed the teaching. You have changed it. "Love your neighbor" means something different in a universe where the dead stay dead than in one where they don't. The miracle was not packaging. It was load-bearing. Darwin did not crack the container. Darwin cracked the cosmology that made the teaching mean what it meant. The wisdom is not homeless. It is changed. }

{ The Pentecost failure is the more urgent text. Bundled-unbundled-rebundled locates the crisis in modernity — Darwin, the cracking. But the Pentecost post shows the body was already fragmenting before the miracles were questioned. 45,000 denominations is not a Darwin problem. It is a coordination problem. The Spirit descended and the arguments began within living memory of the resurrection. You cannot blame the unbundling for a failure that predates it. The real question was always: why didn't the unity last? Not: why did the miracles stop being believed? The Pentecost post answers the right question. }

{ Both are trying to explain why wisdom lost its home. But the bundling framework is too comfortable with the loss. It says: the container broke, but the wisdom survived, and now we build a new container. I am not sure the wisdom survived intact. Something was lost when the cosmology cracked that cannot be recovered by a better mechanism. The mechanism can surface what people actually believe. It cannot restore a universe that feels inhabited by God. That loss is real and the bundling framework does not grieve it enough. }
