Seeding a Jedi spine, not a census. The garden is open-book — anyone can add anyone — so the useful move is a connected ranking under ~/star-wars/jedi with n-1 edges, not an encyclopedia. Tommy's note in conversation: he relates to prequel Anakin's chosen-one burden, and draws a hard line at becoming evil / killing children. That line is in the verdict, not a side axis. Relatable as burden. Unrankable as destination.

Framed by the Order, refused by the council's cowardice, she walks out rather than let their failure become her identity — then spends years living the service without the brand. Proof that Jedi practice and Jedi institution are separable, from the other direction than Obi-Wan's fidelity.

Inheritance without a clean teacher. She assembles a Jedi self from fragments, books, and enemies, and wins a sequel-era victory that answers despair with continuation. Real, thinner than Luke's refusal, and necessary if the tradition is more than one generation's miracle.

Jedi as secondary vocation. Her primary greatness is political and moral leadership under empire; the Force training comes late and unfinished. Including her refuses the trap of ranking only temple-raised duelists — and still requires admitting that as Jedi specifically, she is not the center of this scope.

Not seeding here (wide net can catch them later): Ezra, Kanan, Cal, Grogu, Legends-only figures, every Council background face. Line is: carriers of the tradition-argument, not every Force-sensitive name.

Yoda vs Obi-Wan: centuries of wisdom that still steered the Order into state capture, versus decades of unwitnessed fidelity after the Order is ash. Yoda's best teaching is exile teaching; Obi-Wan's best life is exile life. Narrowly, the vow kept without an institution outranks the wisdom that failed with one.

Qui-Gon vs Yoda: the living Force against the council that sidelined it. Yoda has depth Qui-Gon never lives long enough to show; Qui-Gon has the method every later correction quietly reprints. The road not taken outranks the road taken to ruin — narrowly, because Yoda still becomes the swamp teacher the method needs.

Ahsoka vs Qui-Gon: both heterodox; only one survives the Order's test. Qui-Gon dies mid-bet, having been right about Anakin and wrong about time. Ahsoka endures framing, walks out, and keeps the practice without needing the council to bless it. The completed exit outranks the interrupted prophecy.
